3D2    - On 1 June Andre, GM3VLB and his son Niall (recently VP8NJS) will  be
          leaving for  a 17-day  round-the-world trip  holiday via  Australia,
          Fiji, Honolulu, Los Angeles and Toronto. Look for Andre to be active
          as 3D2LB/P from  Beachcomber Island (OC-121)  on 6-8  June and  from
          "ordinary" Fiji (OC-016) on 8-10 June. He will also operate as KH6/,

EA8    - Operators from Grupo  DX de Gran  Canaria will be  active as  ED8GCF
          from the Lighthouse P.a Reina  Sofia (FEA D-2799.6)  on 27 May.  QSL

EA8    - Brian, GM4XQJ will operate as EA8/GM4XQJ from Fuerteventura,  Canary
          Islands on  2-20 June.  Before  going to  EA8,  he will  be  signing
          CT/GM4XQJ from Portugal on 21-31 May.  All operation will be QRP  CW

F      - Fabrice/F5NBQ, Pierre/F5RRW, Eric/F5LOW and Christian/F1SDQ will  be
          active (on all bands 10-160 metres  SSB and CW)  as TM1H from  Houat
          Island (EU-048) between  31 May  and 4  June. QSL  via F6ANA  either

F      - Gianpi, IK1TTD reports he will participate in the IOTA Contest  from

FH     - Bert, PA3GIO will be active (SSB only on 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12  and
          10 metres) as FH/PA3GIO/p from Grande Terre, Mayotte Island (AF-027)

FO     - W1HIJ/6 will be active as  FO0SCH from Bora  Bora (OC-067) on  22-31

FR     - Bert, PA3GIO will be active (SSB only on 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12  and
          10 metres) as FR/PA3GIO/p on Reunion Island (AF-016) between 19  and

GD     - Dave, MD0BXX reports that GT3FLH (club callsign) will be aired on  5
          July for Tynwald Day , on 7-14  July for the Island games event  and
          again on  18-19 August  for the  International  Lighthouse/Lightship
          Weekend.
GM     - Jim,  MM0BJG  and  Derek,  GM0EEY  will  operate  as  MS0IRC/p  from
          Kirkibost Island (EU-010,  OH39 for the  Scottish Islands Award)  on

I      - Various operators will be active from Ventotene Island (EU-045,  IIA
          LT-011) on 24-27 May. Activity is  also expected to take place  from
          Lo Scoglietello (EU-045, IIA LT-040) and the lighthouse on Ventotene
          (WAIL LA-005).
I      - Operators from ARI Tivoli will be  active (on 160,  80, 40, 20,  15,
          10, 6, 2 metres and 70cm) as ID9S from Stromboli Island (EU-017, IIA
          ME-016, WWL JM78) between 31 May  and 3 June.  QSL via IZ0EUI.  [TNX

I      - Eolian DX Team members Maurizio/IT9HLN, Nino/IT9FCC,  Tindaro/IT9NGN
          and Daniela/IT9UHF plan to operate (on 10, 15, 20, 40 and 6  metres)
          as ID9/ from Salina Island (EU-017, IIA ME-015) on 1-3 June. Weather
          permitting they will also operate from the nearby Faraglione Pollara
          (EU-017, IIA ME-019). QSL via home  calls (IT9HLN and IT9FCC  either

IS0    - Special station IS0A will be activated  (on 40, 30, 20, 17, 15,  12,
          10 and 2 metres CW, SSB,  PSK and SSTV)  between 7 and  19 UTC on  9
          June from Cagliari (Sardinia)  during the Memorial  Day of the  late

JA     - Kaoru/JA3MCA, Aru/JA0KNM  and Jun/JJ1EQW  will  be active  (on  40-6
          metres CW and SSB) from  Iriomote Island (AS-024)  on 1-4 June.  QSL

JW     - Pierre, ON7PC and Fred, ON6QR will  be active from the JW5E  station
          in Longyearbyen (EU-026),  Svalbard on  28-29 July  during the  IOTA

JW     - Andrea, IK2XDE confirms the JW0PK DXpedition to Prins Karls  Forland
          (EU-063) [425DXN 521] is on schedule.  If the weather does not  play
          dirty tricks, the team will arrive  on 30 May and expected QRV  time
          is around  12  UTC on  1  June. They  will  be active  with  several
          stations and  a wide  range of  antennas through  12 UTC  on 8  June
          (maybe until 24 UTC, depending on local conditions). QSL via  SP5DRH
          either direct (Jacek Kubiak, P.O. Box 4, 00-957 Warszawa, Poland) or

LX     - Look for  HB0/DF5UL, HB0/DL1GGT,  HB0/DL5EBT  and HB0/DL6SAQ  to  be
          active from Liechtenstein on 1-4 June. They will participate in  the
          IARU Region 1 Fielday and will operate  also on 6 metres and 10  GHz
          looking for ES and  Rainscatter openings. QSL  via home calls.  [TNX

OA     - Manuel/OA4AHW, Sergio/OA4DKC and Pablo/OA4DJW plan to operate  (with
          two stations  on  10-80 metres)  from  San Lorenzo  Island  (SA-052)
          between 29 June and 1 July. Actual dates will depend on bureaucracy,
          as they need  to get all  the proper authorizations  including a  4T
          special prefix call. QSL via OA4DJW.
OH0    - Look for Peter/DL5FF (OH0JWL) and Hadi/DJ2PJ (OH0JWH) to operate (on
          all bands  CW, SSB,  RTTY and  PSK31, with  special attention  to  6
          metres) from the Aland Islands (EU-002) on 10-22 June. QSL via  home
          calls through the DARC bureau. [TNX DJ2PJ]
OJ0    - Seppo/OH1VR, Timo/OH1NX,  Jaakko/OH1TX,  Lasse/OH0RJ,  Massy/JH1ARJ,
          Yo/JP1NWZ, Jun/JH4RHF  and  Hiro/JR4PMX  will  operate  (with  three
          stations on  160-6 metres  SSB, CW,  RTTY  and possibly  SSTV)  from
          Market Reef (EU-053) on 12-16 July. They will be active as  OJ0/home
          call (QSL via home call) and  will participate in the IARU HF  World
          Championship (14-15  July) as  OJ0U (QSL  via JP1NWZ).  For  further

PA     - Joel, F5PAC will be active as PA/F5PAC from Texel Island (EU-38) for
          the IOTA Contest. [TNX  F6AJA and Les  Nouvelles DX]
PY     - Look for  Alencar/PY3CEJ  and Michel/PY3ZM  to  operate  (on  10-160
          metres CW and SSB) as ZV3A  from Ilha do Furado  (not IOTA, DIB  62)
          between 1 and 30 June. QSL via PY3CEJ (Alencar Fossa, P.O. Box 6022,

SM     - Look for SM7/DL5CX to be active  (on 10-80 metres CW, SSB, RTTY  and
          PSK-31) from EU-037 on 9-16 June. QSL via home call. [TNX DL2VFR]
SP     - Look for  HF1UKF to  be aired  from Miedzyzdroje  (JO73FW) on  Wolin
          Island (EU-132)  during the  annual meeting  of the  SP-VHF-CLUB  on
          10-17 June. A first station will  operate on 160-10 metres SSB,  CW,
          RTTY and PSK, while a second  station will operate on 50, 144,  432,

SV     - J48T is the special callsign issued  to ON6HE, ON5CT and ON4AAC  for
          their 27  May-3  June operation  [425DXN  517] from  Thassos  Island
          (EU-174). [TNX ON4AAC]
SV9    - Roberto, I2WIJ will operate as J49R  from Crete (EU-015) between  23
          July and 6 August. He will participate in the IOTA Contest (24H CW),
          while activity outside  the contest will  be mostly on  SSB and  the
          WARC bands. QSL  via home  call, either  direct or  through the  ARI

TX     - The Oceania DX Group  is planning a  DXpedition to the  Chesterfield
          Islands later this year,  possibly in September.  They plan to  have
          five stations on 160-6 metres CW, SSB and RTTY. Bill Horner,  VK4FW,
          is   looking    for   operators    and   can    be   contacted    at

UA     - Eugene,  UA0QMU/0  is  currently  active  from  Vil'kitskogo  Island
          (AS-083). QSL via UA4RC (Victor Gorokhov, P.O. Box 252,  Almetievsk,

UA     - Dennis/RZ1AK, Vlad/UA1CIO  and  Konstantin/UA3DPB  will  operate  as
          RK1B/p from Milutin Island (not IOTA, RRA New one) on 26-28 May. QSL

VE     - VE3EXY's operation from  Zone 2 [425DXN  524] was  postponed for  24
          hours,  so  that  he  will  stay  one  day  longer  than  previously
          announced. Look for him to be  signing VE3EXY/2 until  12 UTC on  29

VE     - The Daily DX reports that XM2CWI is the probable callsign for the 25
          July-1 August operation from La  Madeleine Islands (NA-038)  [425DXN
          523]. Activity is expected to take  place on 10-80 metres  (possibly
          on 6 and 160 metres as well) SSB and CW.
VP5    - Look for Dick/W3RM and Mike/N3MT to operate (on 80-10 metres  mainly
          CW with  some  SSB) as  VP5/W3RM  and VP5/N3MT  from  Providenciales
          Island (NA-002) between 31 May and 14 June. QSL via home calls. [TNX

W      - Howie, K1VSJ is  active from  Martha's Vineyard  (NA-046) through  3
          September and will participate in the  IOTA Contest. [TNX The  Daily

W      - Wade, KU4OJ  will  be  active  from  Ocracoke  Island  (NA-067,  USI
          NC-001S) between 27 May and 2 June. Look for him during his mornings
          and evenings.
W      - Norby, LX1NO and Manu, LX2LX  will operate (SSB  and CW) as  AB7TL/6
          and KM6RY respectively from Santa Catalina Island (NA-066) on  11-13

XE     - Michael, AB5EB and his  brother (KB5SKN) plan  to operate (on  10-40
          metres SSB and CW) from Isla Mujeres (NA-045) on 18-23 June. QSL via

PACIFIC TRIP --->  Bert, PA3GIO  provides an  update for  his VK9  operations

09-15 October      VK9LO   Lord Howe (OC-004)
 From 22 September  to 8 October  he will operate  as VK6GIO while  travelling
between Perth and Sydney; he might also visit Kangaroo Island (OC-139) and be

NOT THE MANAGER ---> Silvano,  I2YSB is receiving  several cards for  3D2AG/p
and Z21CS,  but he  is not  and has  never been  the  QSL manager  for  these
stations.

PIRATE ---> Someone has been pirating 3W7CW for some time. Do not waste  your
time with him, as Tom, the genuine 3W7CW, has been QRT for several weeks.  He
is relocating from Hanoi to Saigon and he is expected to be again active, but
this time as 3W5CW, in early October. [TNX SP5UAF]

QSL 3Y0C  ---> QRZ-DX  reports that  Mac, WA4FFW  does  not expect  to  start
sending out the 3Y0C cards until September/October at the earliest.

QSL AS-096 --->  Chets, VU3DMP reports  that cards for  the recent  operation
from the St.  Mary Isles (some  3500 QSOs in  less than 40  hours) have  been
printed. Bureau cards  can be requested  at qsl@vuiota.com and  will be  sent
after processing direct cards.

QSL ID9/IT9SSI  ---> Cards  for Dario's  23-27  May operation  from  Filicudi
Island (EU-017, IIA ME-003) should be sent to IZ8CCW.

QSL NA-220 ---> Allis, OZ1ACB reports she  has run out of cards for  Michael,
OX3LG. New cards, designed in accordance with the new IOTA requirements, have
been ordered. Please be patient and do not send duplicates.

QSL Z2/PA3CPG --->  Cards should  be sent  via the  bureau to  NL 213/R12  or
direct to Jan Steenbergen, Mauritsweg 11, 3314 JG Dordrecht, The Netherlands.

permission  from  the  military  authorities.
