October-November | PY0S: Saint Peter & Saint Paul Archipelago (SA-014) PY0S - The Araucaria DX Group has announced that it has received permis- sion from the Brazilian Navy Brazilian Navy to conduct a DXpedition from Saint Peter & Saint Paul Archipelago (SA-014) in the October- November 2025 timeframe. This DXCC Entity was last activated in 2012. 'Since then permission to land and operate from the rocks has not been granted. Our Radio In a Box (RIB) capability enables us to make this activation possi- ble without the operators being physically on the rocks, thereby meeting the key requirement of the Navy for a very small footprint operation with minimum human presence. According to the permit, two of us will be allowed to land each day for a limited time to refuel the generators and make any necessary repairs'. Plans are to deploy five RIBs for a total of 6 stations, and to operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 160-6 metres. There will be six local operators (AA7JV, HA7RY, KN4EEI, KO8SCA, PY2XB and PY5CC) who will be based on a boat anchored a short distance from the rocks. The local team will be complemented by a number of remote operators. Further information, including dates and callsign, will be provided in due course. Bookmark https://py0s2025.com for updates.

February 2026 | 3Y0K: Bouvet Island (AN-002) BOUVET 2026 ---> Team 3Y0K has announced the 'completion of a major mile- stone' with the signing of a contract with the company that will take them to Bouvet Island in February 2026. They have also secured a contract with a company that will provide a helicopter, two pilots, and a mechanic for this project. 'We will depart from Cape Town February 1st 2026', the team says, 'and the DXpedition is scheduled for 36 days. We intend to stay around the island for more than 21 days, which will provide us with enough time to wait for good conditions to land the team and all the equipment'. The total budget of $1,675,000 includes a $450,000 deposit due on 20 Janu- ary, with funding assistance from private contributions and grants from the Northern California DX Foundation. 'NCDXF has discussed the planning with their leadership team and believes that this plan will be successful. There is risk associated with this DXpedition as we all know because of weather and local conditions. The leadership has experienced these challenges and has thoughtfully addressed them as best as they know'. There will be two grants from NCDXF, 'totally up to $200,000. The first will be a down payment of $100,000. The second will be a dollar for dollar match up to $100,000. The match will be a challenge to the clubs and hams that donate prior to the DXpedition'. To help meet this target, please consider making a donation: see https://3y0k.com.

February 2027 | 3Y0L: Peter I Island (AN-004) BOUVET 2026 & PETER I 2027 ---> 'The 3Y0K Bouvet 2026 team are still working on the vessel and helicopter contracts and we are in the final stage before signing the contracts. We are sorting out the last minute deals and are still looking for some more operators for Bouvet and Peter I teams. Funding of these two DXpeditions also heavily depends on us getting a full team of operators onboard that contribute with their participation fee. Should you wish to join our team, please contact admin[@]3y0.no or Cezar, VE3LYC. We estimate to stay around the island for three weeks and the total duration should be around 38 days to Bouvet and a little bit less to Peter I. We do have all the helicopter and landing permits issued by NPI to go to onshore Bouvet and Peter I with a full scale operation. Planning these two DXpedi- tions is very time consuming where the logistics have to be coordinated with other expeditions and that is why it takes time to sign contracts. Our plans are to use the same vessel for both DXpeditions. First the vessel and crew will take us to Bouvet where we will do landing with a helicopter, then our equipment will later be shipped to South America and stored there before we return one year later to go to Peter I Island scheduled for departure late January 2027. Our plans are to go onshore Peter I with two helicopters first week of February 2027. This way of running the DXpeditions is a huge advantage for the #7 most wanted DXpedition to Peter I. Island'.
